EVEREST BASE CAMP 7TH TO 24TH NOVEMBER 2025
Neurodiversity is very close to our hearts and LesleyAnne has been a powerhouse when fighting for what our kids need and always up against ignorance and assumptions. When I decided on this mid life crisis journey for my 50th year after doing the 3 peaks last year it was initially just for myself but LA suggested raising some money for a local charity close to us and she had met Matthew whilst he was servicing our hoovers a couple of years ago and we followed his journey to local councillor and appearances on This Morning so after meeting Matthew's amazing parents they have shared the message below which beautifully encapsulates why this is such an important charity to help other parents and especially the children on their journey to have the most enjoyable, fulfilling life.
Any donations or messages of support greatly received and thank you for reading x
When passion meets purpose, extraordinary things happen—and Tony Cantwell’s upcoming trek to Everest Base Camp is a shining example. As he prepares to take on one of the world’s most challenging adventures, Tony isn’t just climbing for the thrill. He’s climbing for change, for awareness, and for every young person navigating life with ADHD. His fundraiser directly supports the Matthew Lock ADHD Charity, a cause rooted in compassion, advocacy, and the legacy of a remarkable young man.
The Matthew Lock ADHD Charity was founded to honour Matthew’s vibrant spirit and to champion neurodiversity with honesty, warmth, and impact. It’s more than a charity—it’s a movement. From educational outreach and community support to transparent financial reporting and creative campaigns, the charity is redefining how ADHD is understood and supported across the UK.
Tony’s trek is more than symbolic. Every step he takes towards Everest Base Camp helps raise vital funds that fuel the charity’s mission:
• 🧠 Empowering families with resources and guidance to navigate ADHD with confidence
• 🎓 Educating schools and communities to foster inclusive environments
• 💬 Amplifying voices of those with lived experience through storytelling and advocacy
• 📊 Ensuring transparency in every donation, with clear reporting and impact tracking
Tony’s journey is a testament to resilience—mirroring the daily challenges faced by those with ADHD and the strength it takes to overcome them. By supporting his fundraiser, you’re not just backing a trek. You’re investing in understanding, inclusion, and hope.
Let’s help Tony reach the summit—and bring the message of the Matthew Lock ADHD Charity to new heights. Every donation, every share, every word of encouragement matters.
