Story

Hello...

My name is Tony King and I play Para Ice Hockey for Kingston Kestrels and im apart of the Great Britain development program. Ever since first playing Para Ice Hockey when I was 11 my ambition was always to play for Great Britain. I now have the chance to train with the Great Britain team but....

This is were I need your help, as with most sports it is self founded and really expensive, my sledge alone cost £750 and I have to pay for training, fuel costs from Hull to Widnes and overnight accommodation.

Starting the 18th of June, I will be undertaking a 400km (248.5 Miles) Handbike challange over the cause of 4 weeks.

Ive been playing Para Ice Hockey since I was 11 but had to take a break from it because of school and refound the sport 3 years later, since starting the sport I have lost a lot of weight and I’m continuing to do so, this last month (May) I’ve lost a stone in weight and I’m training nearly every day to get better on the ice.

I play as a defencemen for a team called Kingston Kestrels for Hull and as it stands we are undefeated at the top of the Britsh Para Ice Hockey Leauge. This comes after not dropping a single point in our title win last year

Every little bit helps to get me to my goal of playing for Great Britain
