Story
Tom Wilkinson VC was awarded the Victoria Cross in 1946 for actions in WW2, actions which he paid the ultimate price fighting for our country. An appeal has been started to fund a statue of this great man, it will be sited in West Bank Widnes Cheshire, just a short walk from where he was born. This is the third statue dedicated to men who were awarded the Victoria Cross in both Runcorn and Widnes.
