Story

Thanks for taking the time to visit my JustGiving page.

My wife and I made the hardest decision of our lives earlier this year to terminate our pregnancy. As our little girl was struggling to grow properly as a result of Fetal growth restriction (FGR).

Our beautiful baby girl Rosie was born sleeping on March 21st 2026 at 26 week and 6 days.

My wife is stronger than superwoman and we are both doing well during the grieving process.

I will be running 5 miles a day and my wife will be walking 5k a day for the 31 days in August raising money for two charity’s – Baby Beats and Petals. These two charity’s have made a huge impact on our lives and we can’t thank them enough for their care and compassion at such a heartbreaking time.

We can’t wait to take-on and complete our personal challenges.

Any donations would be gratefully appreciated and thank you for your generosity. We will be splitting any donations 70% to Baby Beats and 30% to Petals.

Baby Beats (Registered Charity No. 1051194) is a charity which make a difference for mothers and babies. They provide extra foetal monitoring equipment for the growing maternity unit at the old Royal Preston Infirmary.

Baby Beats provided a charity funded suite (the butterfly suite) at Royal Preston Infirmary for my wife to give birth, which includes a cold cot allowing us to spend precious time with our little girl until we had to say goodbye. Baby Beats provided so much to us both and unfortunately this charity will be needed for many more bereaved parents.

Petals (Registered Charity No. 1150375) is a charity which provides specialist counselling for bereaved parents.

Petals have provided 5 charity funded specialist counselling sessions; which are delivered with compassion and tailored to our type of bereavement. These sessions have given us both comfort, coping mechanisms and the tools to process our loss.

Thank you for all your support. Tony & Sophie
