Story
Baby Tony at 41 days old was admitted to hospital with multiple fractures of all his limbs, dislocations of various joints, blunt trauma to his face and multiple other injuries. He had been left anything upto 10 days before he was taken to the doctors in an unresponsive state. By this time his poor body had given up to the injuries and he developed Sepsis, toxic shock and multi organ failure. He was on the brink of death and if it wasn't for the amazing NHS working so quickly and tirelessly on him for the next 3 months he would not have survived. Sadly in 2017 due to the injuries and infection he had to have both his legs amputated..... He will still need multiple operations going forward for the rest of his life. He is also deaf in one ear, but he is a happy 4 year old that loves life.
Tony came into our lives at 4 months old when he was well enough to leave hospital. We then went on to adopt him in 2016 and we couldn't be prouder to call him our son. His strength and determination is incredible.
Unfortunately he is left with major life changing injuries - he is a double through knee amputee, has part of his left hip socket missing, is deaf in his right ear and motor problems with both thumbs and his left wrist.
The funds raised will go into a bank account in Tonys name and will help to fund equipment needed for him at home and school. We are currently adapting our home to cater for all Tonys needs with a bedroom, wetroom and a lift and it will be able to give him the independence he will want when he is older. We will always strive to give him the best.
We would like to thank everyone of you helping to make Tonys life a truly bright one.

The £1m is brilliant but this is something for HIM this time. We were touched by the story of Tony’s sad start in life, and wanted to do our little bit to help this inspirational lad & his future

After seeing Tony on P of B, I HAD to donate! After being treated badly myself as a child, the mistreatment of babies/children breaks my heart. I’m sending all the love in the world to you all💖

Tony Hudgell now 5 years old was at 41 days old so horrifically abused by his biological parents that he was left on life support with multiple fractures, sepsis, toxic shock and multi organ failure. Sadly in 2017 his legs were so badly damaged he had to have them amputated.
