Hi everyone! I wanted to think of a unique way to raise money for different organisations who help, year in, year out to support the Children of St Margaret's at Cliffe near Dover and the wider area.

All of these organisations play a crucial part in supporting Children. Having two myself I know how they can and have helped. Be it through the Childrens Nursery and Primary Education, helping our Children stay active through Sport, teaching them valuable life lessons and outdoor skills or developing their confidence. They all play such a valuable part in helping our whole community thrive.

So..... rather than a Marathon or Race, a Bake Off or Jumble Sale I decided that I wanted to do something different..something BIG!... So Swimming the Channel Solo...Lake Windermere and an English Channel Relay it is!!

I have been a keen swimmer for about 4 years having already swam a relay 2 years ago. I also swam every day for a year in all conditions and temperatures. I just love to be a part of it.

As I write I have completed my English Channel Solo on 7/8/18 in 17hr 13min. My Lake Windermere swim will be on 2/9/18 and my English Channel Relay will be on the 23rd Sept - 1st Oct tide. So anytime within that tide based on the weather etc.

My English Channel was a very hard and rewarding experience, I had fair weather, almost flat calm until just near the end when a storm blew up! My crew were excellent and I owe the success to them as much as to myself.

So please, please dig deep and donate what you can to some truly amazing causes and I will do my best to complete my part of the bargain. Together we can make a massive difference.

I have bourne the £3000 fee's and associated costs of my English Channel Solo myself.
