This is my tribute to two wonderful young people and a fundraiser in aid of their foundation set up to inspire young people. “The Chloe and Liam Forever Together Trust”

I was for a while Liam’s fitness coach. We met at an event where he was being thanked for his amazing efforts as he was tremendous inspirational young fundraiser. He was pure and honest and good and Liam and his family also have supported me lots of times over the years.

Liam struggled with his weight but never let it hold him back. I would knock him out of bed at around 6.30am on a school day! and he would run with me in all weathers he never missed a session or gave up when I pushed him.

The world has been robbed of two wonderful young people. Chloe was the love of Liam’s life and was equally kind and inspirational to all she met. I have no doubt they would have grown to be real leaders within our community.

My Spartan Challenge is nothing more than a token gesture, If I make it to the end It will be because people helped me when I struggled, it will be because an undivided caring community got me through.

Having completed the first Challenge, The Edinburgh Beast I now can see how I was the first one mad enough to attempt it.

This weekend I will attempt Two Spartan Races back to back. The Marston Lodge Spartan Super 16km & 29 Obstacles Saturday 2nd September & 24 hours later The Marston Lodge Sprint 6km 23 Obstacles Sunday 3rd September 2017

I have no idea how I am going to make it carrying this 42kg Fridge but if I do? I know it will because people helped me through. The Spartan Race will make me stronger and with that strength and love may I be a better member of the Human Race.
