A group of voluntary frontline medics based in the south-west of the UK (with varying medical skill sets: Paramedics, technicians, basic medics and potentially even an ED practitioner) are looking to aid refugees crossing the borders of Ukraine into the safety of neighbouring countries.

The team is looking to get medical aid and supplies out to the border ASAP. The goal is to (eventually) set up rotational teams, giving a continuous flow of medical aid to charities at the borders that can be specifically purchased and taken out depending on what our contacts on the ground are feeding back to us that they are in need of, but this will be an extensive process and an expensive one.

Currently they are very very short and in some cases completely out of children’s medications. With the bitterly cold temperatures out there the children (along with adults) are suffering, with coughs, colds and general lethargy so our trip will concentrate on the purchase of items that are flying out quicker than they are receiving them!

Funds raised will be used to purchase much-needed medicines, medical equipment/supplies and ensure maintenance abilities on the ground for as long as needed and able.
