Greetings,

My name is Tosin olomowewe.I am an actor / mentor / drama teacher amd motivational speaker. I came from a very turbulent background and left home at the age of sixteen. I faced many trials on the streets and i was very lucky to escape with my life. When my best friend passed away when i was 19, it was then i decided to turn my back on the situations that were either going to leave me dead or spending my life in jail . Ever since that moment i have worked my way into a position in which i can influence young lives. I feel strongly that my experience on the streets gives me a gravitas and knowledge that allows for me to reach young people that would otherwise not engage. I have worked with young people now for over half of my life and i am very passionate about their development. I started off as an actor but branched into teaching soon afterward. I have been an anti knife crime facilitator for a number of years now at a well known knife crime exhibition for a charity called the BEN KINSELLA TRUST. Since working for the trust i have come to realize that their should be an outreach program set up to go into schools especially in the most at risk areas and not only empower the young people but to also educate them on choices and consequences, because believe it or not many young children are losing their innocent younger and younger due to being over exposure to social media streams, peer pressure and the misguidance that can come from that not having any positive role models as guidance. All of these obstacles leads young people to carry knifes then eventually using the knife on somebody else or being stabbed themselves. ( most young people carry knifes because they believe it will protect them naively) The five minute video shows how the workshop is run by the faciltator and how the students deliver its key aims and objective. The money raised will allow facilitators to go into schools to train the young people on how to be activists against this epidemic of knife crime on our streets.Thank you for your time and donation.
