Toucan's Story
Toucan Diversity Training CIC was founded in 2013 by Madissa Asgari, BA (Hons), MA, a disabled woman with a diverse ethnic background who faced significant disability discrimination in the job market. Determined to create opportunities not only for herself but also for other disabled people, Madissa established Toucan Diversity Training CIC to face these challenges head-on.
Toucan Diversity is committed to delivering disability equality training and is proudly led by our team of disabled people. We are a CPD-accredited training provider based in Portsmouth, dedicated in promoting Social Inclusion for Disabled People, by Disabled People.
We are delighted, and so proud to introduce our brave and inspiring abseilers.Join us for the Abseil on Sunday 19th July 2026!
Meet Kat

Kat, 36, is a mum of two football-mad boys and is proudly outnumbered at home alongside her equally football-mad husband.
She is the Chief Operational Officer at Unlocking Potential, an organisation rooted in lived experience and dedicated to co-producing a justice system that is fair, inclusive and fit for purpose—for those who work within it, live within it, and the communities it serves.
Like Toucan, Kat is passionate about supporting organisations to create inclusive environments through training, consultancy and keynote speaking. When she heard about the opportunity to abseil down the Spinnaker Tower for Toucan, she jumped at the chance.
As a mum, she wants to show her children that they can achieve anything. Her four-year-old lives with type 1 diabetes, a hidden disability, and this challenge is a way of showing him that he is just as capable as anyone else of pushing boundaries and achieving incredible things.
Please support me if you can. Many thanks
Meet Daisy

Supporting Toucan Diversity means a lot to me, I have an autistic brother and have seen firsthand the difference inclusion makes in his life. Seeing him take on opportunities that wouldn't even be an option for him without organisations like this one fills me with such gratitude.
Meet Sandy

I am Sandy, and I’m absolutely over the moon to have the opportunity to support Toucan Diversity CIC by taking part in the ‘Abseil for Inclusion’ down the Spinnaker Tower!
I am a father of two, a husband, a son, and a brother 24/7. By day, I work as a Youth Worker supporting young people, and I’m also proud to be an Associate of Unlocking Potential, who I’m honoured to represent as well.
Disabilities come in many forms, and many are not always visible. That’s why being able to support Toucan Diversity CIC and the incredible work they do is such an honour to me.
Excited, proud, and ready to go with the whole team!
It would be amazing if you could support my efforts. Thank you
Meet Andy

While I'm primarily here to support my good friend Hayleigh, taking the time to look into what Toucan Diversity does for the community has been truly eye-opening. I had no idea what an incredible cause I'd be joining thanks to my friend!
As an entertainer, I meet people from all walks of life, including those with additional needs, and it's made me realise just how important Toucan Diversity's work really is. I'm proud to be supporting both Hayleigh and Toucan Diversity on this journey — and I'm hoping to learn a thing or two along the way about how I can make my own entertainment more accessible to everyone.
After all, no one should ever be prevented from enjoying life to the fullest!
Please support me if you can.
