I'm raising £5000 to take on a tough mudder on the 20th September and raise money for Community Driving School helping them grow their amazing community

It's time to take action and raise money for an amazing cause as well as tackle something we have never done before (well some have) We have brought together an amazing team to combat the 15k Tough Mudder on the 20th of September,
Go take a look at some of the things we will have to do: Tough Mudder Obstacles
Maybe you want to sponsor the team and get your logo on our team tops as well as have exposure in many other ways! Only 4 slots available £250 each Contact Alex: Alex's LinkedIn
Everyone has their own reason for taking on this challange AND supporting this amazing community driven cause so please take the time to read about everyones passion and why they are taking this on. Every pound helps towards this cuase, and the more we raise the hader we will train.
She is a 27 year old videographer who is a bit nuts and loves a challenge because she just isn’t busy enough she decided lets add training 4 - 5 times a week to the schedule!
I have raised money by doing a chairty boxing match perviously and since starting training more often realised I wanted to tackle something and reach a new style of fittness I have never been able to do before.
I have never been able to run well or do a pull up in my life! by doing this challenge I am hoping to unlock new levels of strength and endurance to help me grow as a person and every penny donated will help me to push to a better goal!
I have been friends with / worked and been alongside John (Director of CDS) for nearly 4 years, as well as seeing and hearing the amazing successes of CDS I have also seen the struggle that everyone has been through, the more money we can raise means the more students we can help and also make a better community for our future, helping people get the second chance they deserve. If it were not for the fact, I could drive I would not be able to have my own business, I would not be able to see my family, I would never have had the opportunities and freedom I have today. The privilege of driving is something I took for granted before I met John, and hearing his passion about helping those in need get a driver’s license to help them get work and freedom to get out of their situation melted my heart so now I will always see how I can help support CDS in reaching as many students as possible.
He is 35 and a property finance broker but also an outdoor enthusiast!
I have done a number of half-marathons & long distance walking challenges. Just seeking something a little more team based & physically challenging than the standard charity run!!!
I have always been able to run quite well, but I have never really focused on building up some core and upper body strength in my training which is going to be absolutely key to success here! Going to be a few weights sessions over the next few months!
I have been friends with John (Director of CDS) for almost a year now. From the first time I met John and he told me all about CDS, I was completely blown away by his mindset, his immense desire to help others rebuild their lives & he simply has just inspired me. Being able to see first hand how the amazing successes of CDS genuinely change lives, I need no more motivation than to go and push myself to help raise more awareness & hopefully vital funds for John.
I’m Matthew a 53 year old financial adviser who hates running so I thought doing a 15k Tough Mudder would be a good idea!?
I have done one before and said never again. But as they say, never say never! Plus the sense of achievement afterwards is great.
I never feel as though I do enough for others so doing this challenge with some amazing people and for an amazing and very underfunded charity will help me with this personal challenge.
John Nicholson the founder of CDS has overcome his own personal challenges in life and wanted to help other get through there’s too. We underestimate how important and valuable being able to drive is and the opportunities it opens up for us. Having also met some of the pupils CDS have helped and how grateful and thankful they are is amazing.
Hi! I'm Djuna. I am 30 years old and I am a chef. When I'm not in the kitchen, you'll find me either in Floc or on the sofa with my two cats, Ahsoka and Eevee. I completed Couch to 5k 2 years ago so thought the natural next step was a 15k.
When Alex asked me to join the 15k, I simply said 'why not'! I'm looking forward to pushing by body to the limits. Let's get muddy.
I have a fear of water. This Tough Mudder has numerous water obstacles which I will genuinely find mentally and physically challenging. With the support of this amazing group, I am hoping to push myself and overcome some of those fears.
I hadn't heard of CDS until Alex did her charity boxing match. The opportunities they give individuals are amazing and the more support they can receive the better!
I’m Charlotte, a 35 year old mum of two. My day job is in financial services as head of compliance. When I’m not working I’m either in the gym or camping or you may find me on a mountain somewhere.
Matthew approached me in the gym to query my pull up grip and mentioned this event. I did a tough mudder a couple of years ago and absolutely loved it!! (Minus the electric shocks at the end - I still have nightmares about those).
Saying yes even though I’m feeling a little anxious. But also similarly to Matthew, I don’t feel that I do enough for others.
CDS is an organisation that I hadn’t heard of before, but hearing about what they do for young adults it’s definitely something that deserves support to hopefully help more young people and also raise awareness too.
Jon is a 38 year old Director of JNS Electrical and building Services love a physical challenge and who wouldn't want to roll around in the mud for the day.
Its more exiting than walking around a golf course 😉
I've wanted to improve my fitness for MX racing this year and this will give me something to train for and work towards.
Over the past couple of years we have gone back and forth with community driving school trying to find ways of assisting wheather its passing on a contact for a new car or possible sponsor ship. This would be a good way of getting involved and getting me hands dirty (literally)
