Story

'Tour-De-Ted'

Paul Fletcher, Lee white and Tbear have taken it upon themselves to help raise money for Teddy Smith who is living with a rare genetic condition called Aicardi-Goutieres Syndrome (AGS) which affects his brain and immune system, meaning he is unable to walk, talk, crawl, feed himself and sit independently.

Paul, lee and Tbear will be leaving Burton on the 20th August to head for Scotland. Paul and Lee will then give Tbear a ride on their push bikes for 871 miles, from John O'Groats to Lands End in 7 days, (a route that normally takes 10/14 days). They will be back in Burton in time for Ted's fundraising event at the Albion pub in Burton on Trent on 29th Aug, where they hope Tbear can join a loving new family.

Teddy’s parents (Rob and Kelly) work tirelessly to give Teddy all the opportunities they can to help him thrive however, the costs of Teddy’s needs are increasing and given the unprecedented circumstances of the past year, fundraising has been very limited. All donations received will help give teddy Smith the independence and the best quality of life possible. He is currently on private medication and receiving private physio which enables him to be the amazing, determined little man he is today!
