ingWe are raising funds to buy a tovertafel for the Bayview ward at Stratheden Hospital. Bayview cares for elderly men who suffer from moderate to severe dementia. The staff in this ward work so hard to care for these men and to support them 24/7 whilst they live with this heartbreak condition.

SCN Kerry Lowe of Bayview and SCN Gillian Grubb of Elmview have worked on different frameworks and courses to enhance the care of the elderly and the care that staff within the NHS can give. The tovertafel will further enhance this care by providing the Bayview boys with both a relaxation aid and sensory stimulation.

A tovertafel costs around £6000. There are many fundraising efforts being made including a fundraising night on the 11th August 2018 (if you would like to attend please get in touch with Cheryl White or Adam Nicholson) and a sponsored head shave by Domestic Assistant Jordan Paterson.

Myself and James Calderwood will be running two pop up barber shops in order to raise funds. One will be held at Stratheden Hospital on the 29th July 2018, this will be a free event for the patients of Bayview and their families. There will also be one held on the 30th July 2018 at Benjamin Barkers Newport for members of the public, this will be a first come first served walk in basis with a pay what you want donation basis (min £8). This will be for both haircuts and shaves.

We are looking to raise a minimum of £1000 and would like to thank you all in advance. Any donations will be greatly appreciated.
