Since March 2022, as part of St Lawrence Church and the Tove Benefice we have collected and delivered aid to Ukraine, which has then been distributed by trusted local aid organisations to those most in need. Since this time our small team including local Ukraine nationals Oleh Naida and Uliana Teslia, we have collected over 30 tons of humanitarian and medical aid. We have also personally delivered 5 ambulances which were then donated to frontline paramedics, and inspired others to assist in similar and greater ways.

Having delivered / donated our latest ambulance in March 2025, we have been made aware of an urgent need to replace an ambulance for a Ukrainian front-line town that is subject to regular shelling, and as a result has had its ambulance destroyed, and little civic and medical facilities remain. We already have a significant amount of medical items waiting to go to Ukraine, including medical beds, wound treatment, wheel chairs and other disabled aids. We just need an ambulance to fill!

This next ambulance has cost us £4200 to purchase, and a further £1300 will be incurred to deliver it and repatriate the drivers back to the UK. As drivers, we personally cover the latter costs for each journey. We have already secured a number of significant pledges, so are therefore seeking to fund the remaining gap of £1500.
