My name is Toyin Jinadu, I have been blind in one eye due to an accident in a playground as a child. I emigrated to the UK in 2003, hoping for a better life after certain abuse and persecution due to my disability in my home country, however having immigration restrictions has resulted in me not able to work in the UK prior to the deterioration of my sight.
However upon the massive deterioration of my sole eyes, and upon now being diagnosed with an end stage glaucoma which requires an urgent tube operation to lower the pressure. I am currently being supported with Housing and basics by the Greenwich Council.
However due to my immigration status , I have been classed as not eligible to have this operation free under the NHS.

I have neither any savings nor access to credit in the country or anywhere in the world for that matter.
Now the effect of this ailment is becoming obvious on his child who is increasingly becoming agitated and has been asking depressive questions about his dad eyes, how he stumbles, and how he suffers severe headache due to the medication to suppress this pressure.
I have been a sole career for my son, but doing basic day to day tasks like dropping him off and picking him up from the school, cooking, doing homeworks etc is become more difficult on a daily basis.

This very urgent, totally necessary surgery will not only ensure I come off this medication, but will also restore hope of keeping my only eye functional, thus giving me another chance at life and making a capable father to my son.
