Story

After over 15 years of service to the city, including being a Physics Teacher, a Teacher of the Deaf and many other roles through her paid and voluntary work, Teresa Quail, currently manager of the Specialist Teaching Services in Peterborough City Council Special Educational Needs and Inclusion Services, will be leaving her job in September 2018.

Teresa has asked that any donations / gifts be directed to two charities:

Mustard Seed Project Kenya (http://www.mustardseedproject.co.uk/ ) a small but successful UK grassroots charity based in the Deepings and working in Africa in Mgongeni an urban slum area of Mombasa, Kenya. They are making a difference with their school providing quality education for 275 poor children and a programme to support women and youth. They aim to help the people out of poverty by giving them the confidence, education and skills to solve their own problems. There have been vast improvements in the past nine years but with your help they can do much more both now and in the future.

Bryson Intercultural (www.brysonintercultural.org) Bryson Intercultural seeks to be a leader in working with and empowering Minority Ethnic families and their communities in Northern Ireland, including the indigenous Irish Travellers and newly arrived Minority Ethnic individuals, by promoting and supporting racial and ethnic integration into Northern Ireland. Your gift will go towards providing Starter Packs of essential items to refugee families from Syria who have been resettled in Northern Ireland.
