Weʼve raised £40 to Enable me to go to Kenya and provide medical treatment and assistance to rural communities

Funded on Thursday, 14th September 2017

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

This is a healthcare 2 week voluntary trip in March 2018 in rural Kenya, providing vital nursing/medical care to the local community. I am attending to set up pop-up clinics in local villages providing access to healthcare, of which the majority will be treating children's physical health as well as adult sexual and mental health. None of the medical supplies are government funded.
This will be no holiday, especially as a middle aged women with not so great health and factor 50 plus sun screen will be a must being a red head! My poor husband is left at home taking care of my 3 children whilst I am away .My accommodation is a mud hut, mattress and mosquito net, meals will be rice, rice and more rice. However I am sure this will be a very worthwhile trip and very rewarding! I would appreciate any kind donations. Many thanks Tracey
