Story
I am Tracey Kyriacou married to Paul Kyriacou, who is an Army veteran riddled with arthritis.
He is currently suffering with pneumonia. He is immunosuppressed and in the at-risk group for Covid-19.
Paul was suddenly struck down with pneumonia whilst holidaying in Spain.
He had a lucky escape with toxic shock. Now Paul and myself are in lockdown in Spain and needs your help to cover the costs of his accommodation and living expenses whilst he is in isolation here.
Myself and Paul have no idea when he is going to be fit enough or allowed back into the U.K.
The consulate have advised us to stay here for at least 12 weeks as Paul is in the high risk category.
Let me tell you something about Paul: He has spent most of his working life in public service. He served over 22years in the Army and the rest in the NHS.
Paul’s life was changed dramatically on Boxing day 2005, on his way home from watching his team Manchester United beat WBA 3-0 with his 2 sons. Whilst on a crossing in Manchester City centre, he was struck by a car that failed to stop. The driver was never caught.
This not only ended Paul’s career in nursing, also his love of fitness. Despite 2 spinal ops he is in constant pain, but never moans and gets on with life.
He nursed his mother for 10 years until her death 2 years ago.
This was only his 3rd holiday in 20 years and he took it to help alleviate some of his pain.
Paul hates asking for help and he knows it is such a difficult time for people.
Any help that you could give would be greatly appreciated.
Any funds raised would go towards accommodation and living expenses whilst here and repatriation back to the U.K.
