Story

After giving up running for a few years I have decided to run the Belfast marathon.
I am doing this in memory of my Uncle Ronnie who lost his life to cancer after a long battle with the disease. Ronnie was 1st diagnosed with Carcinoid Cancer in the liver and lungs in 2008 and in 2014 was diagnosed with a different type of cancer which affected the liver and oesophagus. A very aggressive cancer that required Ronnie to undergo chemo and get Herceptin every 3 weeks. Last June Ronnie's health deteriorated getting double pneumonia and this saw an end to all treatments. Ronnie was in and out of hospital until he passed away on the 29th September.
