Weʼve raised £145 to Raise funds for The Fernlea Care Home

Funded on Tuesday, 31st January 2017

Don't have time to donate right now?

    Story

My Gran is 95 years old and is a resident at the Fernlea care Home in Cardenden.

The manager and carers at the home are amazing and work so hard catering to all the needs of the residents 24/7. They supply an extensive recreational activity program from walks in the local parks, outings to the shops or even putting on concert evenings in the home to ensure the ladies and gentlemen are happy and comfortable and get the most out their stay at Fernlea.

Some of these activities come at a cost and Fernlea try to raise funds by organising raffles and having open days selling homebaking and small gifts.

I would like to raise some money for the home as we as a family appreciate all the good work that Fernlea has done for my gran. The time they spend chatting to gran over a cup of tea when they are on their own lunchbreak or even getting her rice crispies at 4 o clock in the morning is never too much hassle for them and we can't thank them enough.

On New Years day i will do a 5k run from my house to Lochore Meadows Country Park to take part in the Looney Dook.

I would like to raise as much as i can for Fernlea so would you please sponsor me for this challenge and also for being sober on Hogmany so I can get up bright and early on New Years Day.

    Thank you xx
