I've raised £200 to help Isaac go to the Water Polo Championships in Russia at the end of August with the rest of the England team

I have always struggled with my swimming and open water was the worst. Isaac has given up his time to help me, not only has he helped with the front crawl, he has helped me get over the fear I had built up. The ITU triathlon in Leeds I managed to not only swim the front crawl in open water but I took nearly 24 mins off my time from last year. As a way of saying thank you I would love to raise as much as I can for Isaac and his mum Mel. Isaac is part of the England Water Polo team and they have qualified to go to Russia to take part in the finals at the end of August. They do not get any sports funding for these events and it can get very costly. He is an amazing member of the team and I would love to be able to help just give back something to him as a way of saying thank you.
Running has always been my weakest part of a triathlon, the fastest time I have ever done a 10km is 1hr 22mins. On the 12th August, myself and Andy Kelly are going to run/walk (mostly run, hopefully all of it) a 10km around Pugneys, not only we going to do it, we are going to beat my time one way or another. I met Andy a few months ago and we started running together, we were roughly the same pace and we both want to improve our running. He has been so supportive, at the same time coping so well with his health, bouncing back after several operations, he even joining me on parts of Wakefield's 10k to keep me going, pushing me that bit further and I wouldn't have done it without him. Mel was also there and cheering me on with the Wakefield Tri Club's cow bell in hand. We decided to push it a bit more by entering into York's 10 mile run in October, not only enter it but to run the whole of the way without stopping. This 10k will be a great way of upping the distance as well as running for longer without walking.
On the 12th, there will also be a cake stall with all proceeds going to Isaac. If you would like to sponsor us it would be amazing, we are going to do this. If you would like to come down to Pugneys, Wakefield and run part of the way with us to keep us going too, you would be more than welcome.
All proceeds are going to such a brilliant cause and we would love to give Isaac as much funding towards his trip as possible.
