I've raised £13685 to Support Deployment of ten (10) Nurse midwives who shall contribute in reducing maternal death in Tanzania-especially at the rural areas

No child should be left an orphan due to lack of quality health care for their mothers who die while giving birth to their newborns. The Stand Up for African Mothers (SU4AM) program started with the aim to train midwives who will provide quality health services and contribute towards the reduction of maternal deaths. Through our 2019 SU4AM Charity Walk, Amref Health Africa in Tanzania is also raising awareness about the importance of having enough skilled midwives while mobilizing citizens worldwide to contribute to ensure that mothers get the basic medical care they need during pregnancy and childbirth. Apart from the annual SU4AM Charity Walk, we encourage friends and supporters worldwide to contribute so that we can train and deploy more midwives in Tanzania for safe delivery.
