I've raised £6920 to provide solar and water to a rural Clinic in Zambia

Abesu UK with the Abesu Women's Housing Co-operative in Shiyala, Zambia, have together built a new Women's Ward for pregnant mothers attached to the existing Health Clinic, which serves over 4,600 rural families. The challenge is now to raise funds to upgrade the batteries of the existing solar facility to service the Health Clinic and Women's Ward and to pump fresh water directly to these facilities.
This crowdfunding is particularly urgent because funds raised by Abesu have had to be diverted to cover the costs of repairs following a huge storm which ripped off the roof of one of the two nurses houses (see photograph) and the solar batteries building. If Abesu can raise £6,500 in the next few months then the Waterloo Foundation has committed to match fund with a grant of £5,000 to meet the full cost of £11,500.
The Abesu Women's Housing Co-operative are always striving to build houses (over 100) and to improve health facilities for the community. Thank you so much for your support.
