Kim and Keith rescued Moomoo from being put to sleep when he was 14 months old. He came from a terrible, abusive home and it took years of patience and loving care for Moomoo to trust his new family and lead a happy life. Sadly, Moomoo became ill a few weeks ago and has been diagnosed with stage 4 lymphoma, an aggressive form of cancer. After everything he’s been through, it is a particularly cruel blow for this lovely boy. He is now undergoing an intensive course of chemotherapy at Fitzpatrick Referrals Oncology Unit in order to prolong his life from what would be just weeks without treatment to hopefully, a couple of years or more.

The treatment is very expensive. Moomoo has had a scan which cost £1,900. The first few weeks of chemotherapy will cost £5,000 and there will be many other costs afterwards, depending on how he responds to treatment. Kim and Keith can claim a limited amount from insurance but they need much more than they can find. Kim and Keith also have three other dogs they have rescued and their lives revolve around their beloved furry family. They are the first to offer help and raise funds for dogs in need. They have done so many times, putting dogs’ needs before their own, but they find it difficult to ask for help.

Their friends and I would like to help them by removing some of the financial worry from what is a very distressing situation. It is heartbreaking to watch such a beautiful dog go through this, especially when he has been through so much in his short life. The target is £1,000 and all money raised will go towards Moomoo’s medical treatment. If we can raise more, that would be fantastic.
