Story
We are a group of young individuals from the West Lothian region who are taking part in the Mark Scott Leadership for Life Award. Half of us attend the James Young High School and the other half go to Inveralmond Community High School. On top of our studies and as part of this award we have to organise a community project and carry it out in a 21 hour period.
We have decided to build a safe and friendly garden to be featured at the Tree Club ( a club that provides stimulating and creative activities for school age children and young people with additional needs during out of school hours and holiday schemes throughout the school holidays) in St Kentigern's Academy. We hope to have features such as flower beds, benches, and fun and safe playground equipment so everyone can have an enjoyable time.
As part of the project we will also show members how to maintain the garden to the highest standard so they can make the most of the space and this in turn will help everyone to build strong relationships and develop skills such as organisation and team building.
We are already in contact with the Tree Club and they are very excited to get involved in this project.
So please help us to make this a reality by donating!:) Thank you!
