I've raised £750 to plant trees in Wallingford and Cholsey!

Sometimes it seems that the problem of climate change is just too big for anyone to solve. How can we stop global deforestation? How can we stop the use of fossil fuels? How can we get governments and companies to change what they've done for centuries? It can be overwhelming.
There is one thing that you can do. Plant a tree, maybe two. Give us some cash and we'll plant some too!
OUR AIM IS TO PLANT TREES IN WALLINGFORD, CHOLSEY, AND THE SURROUNDING AREA TO IMPROVE THE NATURAL ENVIRONMENT AND TO REDUCE THE AREA'S CARBON FOOTPRINT. WE WANT TO CREATE GREEN CORRIDORS AND WILDLIFE HUBS TO MAKE IT AN EVEN MORE BEAUTIFUL AREA TO VISIT AND IN WHICH TO LIVE.
We've been working with South Oxfordshire District Council, Oxfordshire County Council, and local parish councils to identify places for new trees, as well as working with private landowners. Planting a new tree on council-owned land can cost around £100. We've already raised £2000 but aim to raise £5000 or more in total. A generous donor has offered to match our next £1000 of funding so any donation you make will count double!
We will be holding a COMMUNITY TREE PLANTING DAY in Autumn 2020 so that members of the local community can get behind the venture and help us plant!
Any individual or business that donates £100 or more can have a dedication plaque attached to a tree to remember a loved one or market their enterprise.
