Trees For Sakamoto

In 2018, Ryuichi Sakamoto curated the first edition of MODE in London. 33-33 and NTS had the privilege of hosting his headline live performance at The Silver Building, a collaboration with David Toop.

In Sakamoto's memory, we are fundraising for TREES FOR SAKAMOTO, a new donation platform set up to carry on his legacy, established by his colleagues, family and friends.

"In the wake of Ryuichi Sakamoto's passing, there was an outpouring of heartfelt condolences from around the globe. Inspired by this, Sakamoto's New York-based friend and fellow artist, Yuka C Honda of Cibo Matto, took to Facebook and wrote: "What if everyone who loves Ryuichi Sakamoto planted a tree in his honor, to show him our love and gratitude." At the same time, one of Sakamoto's family members echoed this sentiment: "it would be amazing if all of dad's fans planted a tree each. But, most people wouldn't know how to go about it, so what if we created a system that allows anyone to donate the cost of planting one tree?" Moved by these shared thoughts, we decided to bring TREES FOR SAKAMOTO to life."

坂本龍一死去のニュースが流れ、ネットに溢れる世界各地からの弔意を目にした坂本の友人でニューヨーク在住のアーティスト、チボ・マットの本田ゆかさんが「坂本さんを愛する人達全員が一本づつ木を植えたらどうだろう？愛と感謝を込めて。」とFacebookにポスト。時を同じくして、坂本の家族から「お父さんのファン全員が木を一本ずつ植えたらすごいね。でも、植えたいと思ってもどうやればいいかわからないだろうから、一本のコストを寄付できるシステムを作ればすごくいいんじゃない？」と声があがる。その異口同音に上がった思いを形にするべく、植樹のためのドネーションプラットフォーム《TREES FOR SAKAMOTO》を立ち上げます。

寄付先の準備、システムが整い次第、こちらで寄付の受付を開始いたします。情報に関しては、SNSにて随時発信していきますので、少しの間、お待ちいただければと思います。

TREES FOR SAKAMOTO即将启动。

在坂本龙一去世的消息传开后，坂本的友人、居住在纽约的音乐组合Cibo Matto成员的本田yuka女士看到来自世界各地的哀悼之意后，她发了一条Facebook状态：“所有喜爱坂本先生的人，怀着爱和感激的心情，一人来种一棵树怎么样？” 几乎与此同时，坂本的家人也萌生了这样的想法：“如果父亲的粉丝能一人种下一棵树的话，那将是一件非常了不起的事情。但他们也不知道该如何种植，我们是否可以搭建一个能够捐赠一棵树的种植成本的平台呢？”为了实现这些异曲同工的想法，我们决定设立一个名为“TREES FOR SAKAMOTO”的植树捐赠平台。

在与接受捐赠的机构协调完毕并完成系统调试后，将在此正式开始接受捐款。我们将随时通过社交媒体发布相关信息，还请您稍作等待。
