Story
I volunteer and help coach Trebanog U15s which is really great fun, very rewarding if sometimes a little tiring😁, the lads are a great bunch, and we see it not just about the football.
Almost folded last season, costs etc... but have managed to also gain some new faces. We push on!
Like many other grassroots teams, we can only run with volunteers, and the generosity, outside on cons/subs, from parents, local business support, and fund raising.
We have great support from our parents and even some sponsorship from businesses, but this season so far its been tough. We understand money is tight for parents and businesses and are looking to ramp up fundraising before the season starts.
We need help to raise money for kit (they grow out of it so quick), footballs, match fees, referees, entry fees into leagues/cups, training equipment, hire of training pitches and other costs...
We currently run a tuck shop for games, do Dummy Club (Google it 😊)on home match days, football scratch cards, raffles etc...
We have some sponsored car washing planned in coming weeks too and some other ideas which the lads themselves will get involved with.
However, to help raise some more money and why this page has been created, is because myself and Nathan (Nibzy), the coaches, are setting ourselves the challenge of walking up and down Pen-Y-fan 5 times, hopefully more. Sunrise to sunset. This will be on the military route, so 36k (5 times) and with a 440m elevation gain each time. This is expected to take between 12 to 14hrs.
This will take place on either 26th or 27th July (best weather day) and we would really appreciate your support, know matter how much, and also for sharing this link as far and wide as possible.
