I've raised £10000 to send a team of UK-based professionals to Ghana to support the improvement of maternal & fetal health.

Expectant mothers and babies unfortunately lose their lives from avoidable birth-related complications. This is not unique to a particular geographical location but more in developing countries. Evidence shows that a multidisciplinary team-work approach through training, application of human factors and effective use of available resources improves outcome of childbirth, reducing morbidity and mortality.
Did you know that women in Ghana are 40 times more likely to die during childbirth compared to the UK? It is even worse for the babies. Injuries associated with childbirth is even worse.
We believe we can help. In the last few years we have been doing exactly that with your help.
The TRIO Bridge Foundation is helping through training of medical staff in Ghana and equipping them with knowledge, skills, and equipment in managing maternal emergencies as you have seen on our media page.
Since 2018, apart from the pandemic years, we have trained doctors, midwives, nurse and midwife anaesthetists, etc. at the 37 Military, Wenchi Methodist and Ankaase Faith Methodist hospitals and made donations, with your help.
Ghana Mission 2022 is on the horizon again, 23rd September-7th October 2022. Once again it is “Operation Train & Equip Ankaase Methodist Faith Healing Hospital, in Ashanti Region of Ghana”.
The Foundation continues to require your financial support. No help is too small. Every little helps. The Maternity unit at this Hospital needs basic monitoring devices such as SonicAid, thermometers, blood pressure machines, cardiac monitors, machines used to monitor babies during labour etc.
You can help! You can make a difference!!
Your contribution can prevent mothers and babies dying from avoidable causes.
The neonatal and maternity unit need improvement, both infrastructure, medical equipment training and IT equipment. Your help is needed more than ever.
