Story
In the Triratna Earth Sangha we are all too painfully aware of the Buddha’s core teaching that actions have consequences. The accelerating destruction of ecosystems in the natural world caused by greed, hatred and ignorance is causing untold suffering to beings of many kinds, and we feel that it is our duty as Buddhists to do what we can to raise awareness of the plight of the planet, demonstrate an alternative way of life based on stillness, simplicity and contentment and act to relieve suffering where we can. This seed fund will help fund future actions and pay any administrative costs we may incur, so please give if you can! No amount is too little - or too much! With thanks and metta, the Triratna Earth Sangha.

1 year agoHello dear supporters of the Triratna Earth Sangha, and it’s a very overdue message of thanks to all of you who have so kindly given and expressed your support for and solidarity with our cause. We’ve just had the most amazing conference, and I’m very much looking forward to the next phase of TES’s development. It’s been quite a journey, and I’ll keep you all informed as we move toward COP and beyond! With gratitude and appreciation, Akasharaja

I’m a member of the Triratna Buddhist Order living in Shrewsbury, UK. Along with many others I am very concerned about the multiple ecological crises we face and see it as part of my Buddhist practice to do what I can to help alleviate the enormous suffering they are bringing.
