I've raised £1000 to We are raising £1000 to help a family to pay for Bella the lost and now found Shih Tzu vets bills

We believe Bella is around 4 years old and has spent the first 4 years of her life being continuously bred in an illegal Irish puppy farm. After being rescued in a matted unnourished condition she was brought to the UK and was adopted by the Matthews family, who fell instantly in love with her despite her looks and her extremely fearful nature.
Bella was petrified of people and did not want to be anywhere near anyone as clearly the humans that she had been in contact with hadn't treated her very well at all. She hid under tables, behind sofas anywhere she could find.
She had made so much progress over the first 2 weeks in her new home, despite having to sit through 3 hours of unmatting and another trip to the vet to get some of her teeth removed. The family had become so proud of her and the way she was building confidence was clearly showing she was enjoying her new life.
She had progressed well enough to go out walking on a lead and she did so well considering she had never had a walk before, she stayed close to her new mum and seemed to really enjoy it. However, just at the end of her walk she was spooked by a jogger who had come around the corner sending Bailey, bellas adopted brother, into a barking frenzy and adding to bellas uncertainty which led to her to slip her lead and run off up a hill, across a field and down a road before she was out of sight.
Bella was not seen again after that night for over 3 and a half weeks. Bellas new family spent everyday from that point onwards trying to find her, they did everything they could, follow all the advice that was given and physically and mentally wore themselves down, always putting finding Bella as their top priority. By some miracle she was unbelievably found near her home in a dense bush severely under weight, scared and looking worse for wear.
Unfortunately bella has suffered some injuries with the worst being her eyes. She was rushed to the emergency vets where the family was told her left eye had ruptured and her right eye had a very deep ulcer. This was causing her severe pain. The vet said that there was no alternative but to remove the left eye completely and then they would try to save her right eye. The family then took her to the regular vets the following day where it was confirmed, Bella's left eye had to be removed and the right eye may respond to treatment but if it didn't it would need to be removed also. She was then booked in as soon as possible to remove the eye and try to reduce Bella's pain. As the family had only had Bella for 2 weeks and she was still having dental treatment, they didn't get the chance to get insurance for Bella and therefore now have to find the money for the vet bills.
Bella has a long road ahead of her and some adjustments to get used to.
Bella has had a very hard short life but yet she is still the sweetest little girl and has taken all the poking and prodding from the vets in her stride.
Bella deserves a chance at a good life and to be loved so please donate to give Bella the best vet care she urgently needs and help the family give Bella the best chance of keeping her right eye.
