Doug and Nick Lang were tragically killed in a road accident on 19th July 1981. Both serving soldiers at 249 Sig Sqn, serving at the same time as their brother Gary "Chalky" Lang, Doug was just 20 and Nick 19 when they were sadly taken returning to Bulford from Cornwall. I served with 249 from 87 to 89. With the reformation of 249 I would like to present a Lang Memorial Trophy to the new Sqn from former serving 249 Arctic Warriors. If enough money is raised it would be nice to have the 249 AMF logo engraved along with "Lang Memorial Trophy" and contested for the most improved Soldier of the year. This would be from both former serving 249 soldiers and the Lang Family, please support this and get the new Sqn on their way! Thank you for your support.
