Story
Tri the World (No Passport Required) - 16400 Miles over 3 years for Charity
100 miles a week for 3 years!
This challenge is called Tri the World (No Passport Required). If I complete this final year, I will have virtually circumnavigated the world by land, one mile at a time, without leaving home. Well almost, I continued my miles on Holiday and work. Plus last year the epic adventure to the Foot of Everest… that’s were it should have ended. Instead I carried on
This year marks my third and final year of completing 5,200 miles in a single year through walking, cycling, and kayaking, which is the equivalent of 100 miles every week, all alongside work and everyday life. This year I am completing 6000 miles to make it around the world
We have raised just under £16,000 for charity under this challenge and even set up an art foundation for cancer patients along the way. This years charities are ACCT UK, Woodys Lodge and SSAFA the armed forces charity.
I do this because I believe every day can be an adventure. You do not need to travel the world to do extraordinary things. In many ways, this challenge is harder, fitting the miles around real life, work, and responsibility, but that is exactly the point. Consistency, resilience, and showing up matter.
Over the years I have taken on endurance challenges to raise funds for charity while navigating significant personal setbacks, including grief, injury, divorce, and a period of homelessness. Movement, purpose and community quite literally kept me going, and this fundraiser is a way to give back and help others who need support.
This final year is about finishing what I started, proving what is possible, and raising money for causes that change lives. Every donation supports that mission, and every mile is fuelled by your belief. I am also for my final month getting to do a lap of honour of my home country with a 38 mile Ultra Marathon around Wirral what a way to finish.
Thank you for being part of the journey and for supporting Tri the World.
I have also two extra ways to support this
The 50 Club - £50 memorial sponsor - Sponsor me £50 or above and that day all my miles will be dedicated to someone you love or just you.
The 52 Club - Corporate sponsorship - For just £100 or more you get a full week of posts to say thank you for sponsoring the challenge. All of the Money goes to the charity.
