On April 12th a group of AlixPartners TRS will take on the Tough Mudder (cough*5K*cough) in Finsbury Park. As a way of showing your support for these brave souls please take a moment of your day to learn about the two incredible charities we are fundraising for; The Amy Redhead Foundation and Legs4Africa.

The Amy Redhead Foundation is a cause close to the heart of TRS Managing Director, Dan Coen, who will be running with us in April. The foundation was set up last year in memory of Dan's cousin Amy who sadly passed away on 15 February 2018 following a short four month battle with Stage 4 Bowel & Liver Cancer aged just 28. Amy's family decided to set up the charity for young adults suffering with Ulcerative Colitis who need that additional support, knowledge and care. The charity is also aimed at raising further awareness of the risks like Bowel Cancer that Ulcerative Colitis sufferers face. Legs4Africa is a Bristol based charity who recycle prosthetic legs that would otherwise end up in landfill and facilitate support groups so amputees in Africa can live more independent, fulfilled lives. The World Health Organisation states that just 1 in 10 people with physical disabilities in the developing world have access to assistive technology. Legs4Africa addresses part of this deficit by providing equipment to societies where such equipment is either unavailable, or prohibitively expensive. The charity was set up by the cousin of TRS SVP, Greg Cross, who will be also taking on the Tough Mudder in support of this great cause.
