Story

Nine years after their invasion of Crimea and the Donbas region, Russia inflicts ever greater war crimes and genocide on the people of Ukraine. Before last year's full-scale invasion, Vladimir Putin, in pseudohistorical essays and speeches, repeatedly denied that Ukraine even exists. Yet his attempts to murder, terrorise, starve and freeze the Ukrainian people into submission have only been met with stronger resolve and determination. They will win their right to be a democratic sovereign country eventually. But they need our help. From governments in the West, they're getting tanks and artillery. But they need more smaller-scale help as well.

I'm raising the money to buy a second-hand truck for the Ukrainian army, load it with humanitarian aid, such as tourniquets, winter clothes and generators, and join a Car4Ukraine convoy to Lviv. Volunteers there will retrofit the truck so that it can be used on the front line.

Above: Combat-grade tourniquets cost around £25.00 each.

Below: The trucks are taken to a workshop in Lviv and converted for use at the frontline.
