Help Build Truekind — A Safe Place to Understand, Talk & Rebuild ❤️
What if you knew something wasn't right, but you couldn't find the words to explain it?
Abuse isn't always visible.
It can look like love, jealousy, concern, silence, financial control, constant monitoring, isolation, manipulation or simply feeling like you are always walking on eggshells.
Many people experiencing emotional abuse or coercive control don't immediately recognise what is happening. They may question themselves, minimise what they are experiencing, or feel they have to prove that it was "bad enough" before they deserve help.
Truekind is being built to change that.
Truekind is a free, privacy-conscious online support space for people affected by abuse — including emotional abuse, coercive control, financial abuse, digital abuse, stalking, sexual coercion and other hidden forms of harm.
It is designed for women, men, LGBTQ+ people and people of all identities and backgrounds.
🌱 What will Truekind provide?
The aim is to create one safe place where someone can:
Understand patterns they may be experiencing without being forced to label them.
Talk through what is happening in a calm, non-judgemental environment.
Find verified organisations and professional support.
Prepare for leaving or making things safer where appropriate.
Connect with a carefully moderated peer community.
Rebuild confidence, self-trust, independence and a sense of who they are again.
There will also be practical tools, educational resources, recovery support and, as the project develops, a pathway towards funded professional therapy for people who could not otherwise afford it.
💙 Why does Truekind need your help?
Building something genuinely safe for people experiencing abuse takes more than simply putting a website online.
Truekind needs secure technology, privacy protections, verified support information, safeguarding procedures, moderation, professional input and eventually partnerships with qualified therapists and specialist organisations.
I want the core support to remain free.
Nobody should have to pay to find information that could help them understand what they are experiencing. Nobody should have to purchase a subscription before they can find somewhere to start.
💷 What will your donation help make possible?
Your support will help Truekind move from an idea into a functioning support platform.
Funds raised will contribute towards the development of:
🌱 Free support and educational resources
Helping people recognise patterns of hidden abuse and understand their experiences.
🔒 Privacy and safety features
Including safer-device information, privacy-conscious design and safety-focused website development.
🫂 A moderated peer-support community
A place where people can eventually talk to others with similar experiences without being required to use their real name.
📍 Verified support information
Helping people find appropriate organisations, helplines and practical services in their country or region.
💙 Future funded therapy
The longer-term goal is to establish a properly governed programme where donations, grants and ethical sponsorship can help fund sessions with qualified professionals for people who cannot afford them.
You don't have to know what to call it.
You don't have to prove that it was "bad enough."
You don't have to make a decision today.
Sometimes the first step is simply having somewhere to say:
"Something doesn't feel right. Help me understand."
That is what I want Truekind to be.
A place to understand.
A place to talk.
A place to find real help.
And eventually, a place to rebuild.
🙏 Please help me build it.
Whether you donate £5, £10, £20 or simply share this page, you are helping create something designed around dignity, privacy, choice and human support.
If Truekind can help even one person recognise that they are not imagining what they are experiencing, find the right support, or begin rebuilding their life, it will be worth building.
Thank you for helping me give Truekind its first step. 💙
Truekind is currently a developing project. It is not an emergency service, therapist, solicitor or replacement for professional support. Any future funded therapy programme will only launch once appropriate funding, qualified professional partnerships and clinical/safeguarding governance are in place.
