Truro Hockey Club is proud to have partnered with Talk stick & Cornwall Mind.

Cornwall Mind is a charity that believes no-one should face mental health problems alone. Each year the demand for their services increases as more people seek support for their mental health.

Although they are affiliated to the national charity Mind, Cornwall Mind is an independently registered and funded charity dependent on fundraising and donations to continue vital work in the community.

Talk Stick is a charity started by members of Spalding HC after a young member of the club took their own life. Talk Stick has taken the initiative to raise the awareness of men’s mental health and suicide prevention within hockey families. Talk Stick offers awareness sessions to clubs, plus information and awareness via online platforms. They also aim to train 2 members from each club in mental health first aid so members can help other members within their hockey family.
