Story
Living through a pandemic has had an enormous impact on young children and, for many, their emotional wellbeing and ability to learn continue to be affected. Many have experienced poor wellbeing and mental distress, perhaps feeling anxious or struggling to readjust to being back in a busy physical space.
We cannot emphasise enough the importance of outdoor play in countering the anxiety, stress and uncertainty children have encountered. The freedom to play and socialise with their peers undoubtedly builds confidence, self-esteem and social skills.
At TSM we strive to follow Jesus’ example and do everything in love. Our dedicated team of staff are committed to ensuring our children receive all the support they need to help them flourish in our care. Against the backdrop of ever-increasing school budget cuts this has never been more challenging.
On Sunday 21st May, a team of staff are preparing to put their best foot forward to complete the Great Manchester 10km run to raise funds for TSM. All sponsorship received will bring us even closer to achieving our exciting plans for the outdoor play area, including developing a fabulous Trim Trail.
For some of our team, who have not previously conquered anything close to this distance, the event represents a huge personal challenge. For all of our team, it represents our unwavering joint commitment to our school and our community.
Thank you for reading our story. If you are able to support us our team would be extremely grateful for any donation you can give.
