Story
The Tuareg village of Tinzibitane Elabdach, in the desert 45km west of Timbuktu, Mali, is seeking to revive after bad years of drought, insecurity and war (in 2012-14). They wish to start a school for their children.
The villagers and refugees from their clan have already raised some start money amongst themselves (the Tuareg have been desert traders for centuries), and I wish to help them by raising the rest.
This plan to start the school has already drawn refugees back to the village from abroad - so this isn't just about a school, it's about a village and a people, and their wish to meet the modern world without going too far. Full details about all this are here (including a cost breakdown): The Tuareg Village of Tinzibitane Elabdach, Mali.
I welcome you to join this exciting nomad development project by tossing a fiver or more into the pot and helping us get this school on its feet. Bless you and thank you - that's not just from me, but also from the chief and people of the Tinzibitane, who are hoping and praying that their call will be heard. It means such a lot to them.
