Story

This is my son Max. He is cheeky, bright, funny, quirky and a beautiful and caring twin brother. Max is diagnosed With Autism Spectrum disorder (ASD) and we are so proud that after a long fight to get him the space he needed he started primary school in September alongside his twin brother Oscar at Tubbenden primary school in Orpington. He attends the addiontally resourced provision at the school for children with severe and complex needs whilst his brother Oscar attends the mainstream.

During the summer the school underwent a refurbishment however the budget did not stretch far enough to provide specialist equipment for the garden, classroom and sensory room. The school have other areas they would like to develop so that it creates a higher quality environment for our children and this is where i come in.

The PTA kindly let us have the use of a fundraising page however they are unable to help us with the fundraising so it is down to us parents to try and raise these funds. I was trying to think of a fitting challenge which is where i came up with the £1 burpee challenge. If you donate £1 to me i will do 1 burpee and however much i raise I will do that amount of burpees in a row. If i smash my target i dont care if it takes me a day or two i will do them! I chose burpees as Max loves numbers and counting and whenever i workout at home he likes to count me in and get involved. I will film myself doing them (no cheating) and post for the world to see. Whatever raised will then be transferred into this page, which explains more about where your donation will be going:

Your donation will benefit the education and experiences of children who have complex needs and your donation will not only benefit my son but other children in the community who will need access to a specialised environment in years to come. It ensures they have a chance to enjoy and utilise school life and education.

Thanks in advance (i think?!) sarah x
