🦃 The Great Turkey Mission 2025 🦃

🦃 Today, we kick off The Great Turkey Mission. We aim to spread some Christmas magic to those who need it most..

🦃 Sara Guiel and I started this annual Christmas campaign 15 years ago, with two bags of shopping and one turkey! Now more than ever, we need to support charities and help the most vulnerable members of our community, and to do that, we need your help.

🦃 Our Turkey fundraising record to date is £2735.00 - we want to beat that this year!

🦃 This festive season, we are raising funds for two brilliant local causes:

🦃 Worthing Soup Kitchen, run by the incredible Khristina McCormack, provides meals, warmth, and kindness to those in need.

🦃 Safe in Sussex, a domestic abuse charity based in Worthing, supporting women and families in crisis.

🦃Together, they’ll ensure that some of the most vulnerable people in our Sussex community enjoy a proper Christmas dinner — complete with turkey, trimmings, hampers, and festive treats.

🎯 Our goal: £3,000 - That’s enough to feed 300 people (£10 per head) — and we are calling on 200 wonderful humans to donate a minimum of £15 to make it happen (if you can donate more please do)

🦃 Time is short! We start today and finish fundraising on Thursday, 4th December. It is a 10-day campaign - short, festive, and punchy! The charities need the funds early so their volunteer teams can begin shopping, prepping, and planning for Christmas week.

🦃You will see us handing over wads of cash or crates of goodies to the charities, so you know exactly where your donations go.

🦃 For every donor, your name will be added to our Turkey Hall of Fame!
