The Turner Ward at Torbay Hospital is the cancer ward & sadly too many people are or have been patients at it. The care given there is second to none, but financing that care is barely adequate. We started raising funds for it because Diane Norman, instigator of the project, was herself a patient there 8 years ago. The care she received helped her through the most difficult time in her life & she wanted to give the ward something back. Since starting the project, one of our fundraisers, Janice Horrocks, has herself been diagnosed with cancer & is currently a patient in the very ward she was helping to support. Because of this, we care deeply about this cause & wish to raise as much as possible to support this brilliant ward which has helped so many, & in doing so will contribute to it helping many more! We'd like to raise £5000....we'd like to raise £5m, but we're being realistic! Please help us to help all those who need this special care & potentially save some lives!
