Story

To help support our Flyerz - I'm taking on a couple of challenges in May. First up I am riding the 40 mile edition of the Etape Caledonia above Pitlochry in the Highlands. But whilst there, Darcey and I also plan to bag another Munro (a mountain over 3,000 feet) - snow permitting - which will hopefully be Schiehallion.

We have two TWHC athletes representing their country this Summer at the Special Olympics World Games in Berlin and then (likely) at the Euro Parahockey ID Championships in Monchengladbach (formal team announcement not yet made for the latter), which is a fantastic achievement for the players and the Club.

Whilst the tournament costs are covered, there is nonetheless a significant contribution that the players' families are asked to make both for the event itself and also for required eligibility pre-assessment tests - and I'm looking to help cover some of these costs and generally support the activities of our flourishing Flyerz (disability hockey) section.

All support welcome, however small, as every contribution will help and make a big difference.

Please note that thanks to the immediate and kind generosity of donations, we have increased the target (yet again) - all amounts raised are going to the club to support the purposes noted above - we were perhaps more modest in our expectations at the outset and are delighted that we'll be able to do more to support our players as a result. The increased target includes the "match funding" donations that I will make (and D from her stash of Bonios) ...

Thanking you in advance - Francis and Darcey
