I’m raising £750 for The Hut Mersea Island CIC to fund free beach hut days for families facing disability, life-limiting illness and bereavement.

A day at the beach sounds simple — but for many families it just isn’t possible.

When you’re caring for a child with complex needs, going through cancer treatment, living with a life-limiting condition, or grieving someone you love, even a small trip out can feel overwhelming or unaffordable.

That’s where our accessible beach huts come in.

With ramps, deck space, seating, shelter and nearby accessible facilities, families have a safe, comfortable base by the sea — somewhere to rest, laugh, breathe and just be together.

No pressure.

No cost.

Just time.

Time for siblings to play.

Time for parents to relax.

Time to make memories.

Every pound raised goes directly towards:
