This is Nora, an abandoned street puppy from Guatemala. We found her on the beach on the coast, abandoned, starving and crying out for help. She was covered in ticks, fleas and parasites which caused her skin disease, mange. There was no way we could leave her stranded.

Failing to find a vet that could help in the beach town, we cut our beach trip short to take her to the closest city to get her the vet care she needed. We have paid for her first round of treatment to remove the fleas and ticks and cure her mange, and we have her first vaccines booked for 7 days after this treatment. We have had to find pet friendly alternative places to stay so we can take care of her. We have also bought her food and a bed carrier, in which she sleeps and we can transport her around in, as well as a toy and a jumper to help keep her warm as her fur is very thin from the mange.

She will need further treatment and veterinary care, which we are more than willing to pay for as we just want to give her the best start in life. We are currently looking for a forever home for her as we dont want to just give her to the already inundated animal shelters in this country (which are already few and far between). We are backpackers with limited funds so we would really appreciate any donations to help care for Nora.
