Story

Tylar is a fun loving 7 year old with a beautiful heart, and beautiful hair!

Together, we decided that cutting off his hair should help benefit people less fortunate than ourselves. Tylar’s Hair will be donated to the Little Princess Trust, and money raised will be donated to the 11th Wellingborough Beaver Scout group with a donation to the Wellingborough Helping Hands Food Bank.

Who are these organisations?

The Little Princess Trust give away free real hair wigs to children that have lost their own hair through cancer treatment or other illnesses. In addition to this, in partnership with CCLG (Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group) we fund research into childhood cancers.

Tylar has attended 11th Wellingborough Scout Group since 2017 and has already completed his Bronze Award badge! Adventure is at the heart of everything they do. It is the single most important thing that sets Scouts apart. Through the everyday adventure of Scouting, young people and adult volunteers regularly experience new challenges that enrich their lives. From camping and hiking to surfing and paragliding, there are hundreds of activities that Scouting offers. Join in and see for yourself.

Helping Hands Wellingborough is an invaluable group set up by Sam Oakley. We are a local community support group project that serves Wellingborough and the immediate surrounding areas, and was created to help those in most dire need of life's basic essentials - food, clothing, toiletries, and anything that is considered an urgent item.

The Sponsored Hair cut will happen on Monday 1st of April at approximately 6.30pm. It will take place at St Andrews Church Hall. If you'd like to attend, please get in touch with me first as this is Tylar's Beavers Group.

A little Message from Tylar:

Beavers is a good place for children ages 6-8, cubs is 8-10 and scouts is 10-14.

Mainly cubs and scouts get to do camp but beavers sometimes do! I went to a sleepover last weekend and got the highest score in Archery.

In beavers the best badge is the Chief Scouts Bronze Award.

11th Wellingborough Beavers is on 6pm-7:15pm on Monday every week when school is on.
