I've raised £250 to help Fiveways special school fund a new playground for children with autism and other disabilities.
Organised by Karen Earley
As you all probably know, my six-year old grandson, Tyler, is autistic. He now attends Fiveways School in Yeovil, who specialise in communication and interaction. Recently, they have begun fundraising for a new sensory playground to suit all of its pupils.
Plans are to make it fully accessible in all weather conditions, and include a sensory garden, and play equipment specially designed to teach children how to move their bodies and encourage them to play together.
All children deserve a place to play, disability or not. The sooner we can raise funds the sooner Tyler and his friends will have a fun, safe place for them to play and grow!
