We’re raising £5,000 to cover the initial start up costs and overheads for Tynedale Craft Exchange, the new home of the Green Bee’s long running Craft Swap.

What started as a small dresser in the shop as a way to share unused craft items quickly grew into a regular swap day that has recirculated tonnes of craft supplies. Inspiring creativity whilst reducing waste, supporting not only individuals but schools and groups too. But now it’s popularity has outgrown the space!

We have been working away in the background to set it up as a separate entity operating as a community organisation reinvesting any surplus back into activities. Our intentions are to open Tynedale Craft Exchange as a community shop selling donated craft supplies and sharing craft skills. We need funds to help us to secure premises and cover initial set up costs.

We have already raised over £850 from our Craft Swap and Yarn Sale!
