Story

We are aiming to raise £10,000 for 3 very different but equally as important charities by completing the 10 mile Tough Mudder course in May.

Tyrone (Ty) was a much loved, funny and generous Son, Husband, Father, Brother and Friend who 18 months ago was diagnosed with a progressive brain tumor and unfortunately passed away on the 6th of February. During this time Macmillan Cancer Support provided his family with invaluable support. Tyrone was also diagnosed at the age of 1 with Haemophilia, a condition which means the ability of the blood to clot is severely reduced, so that even the slightest cut can cause severe bleeding and even death. The support received from the Haemophilia Association throughout Tyrone's life has been second to none and has been a great help to both him and his family.

Most of you will not know that on January 25th, my son Theo was admitted to the Critical Care Unit of the Sheffield Children's Hospital after over a year of being misdiagnosed. He was in there for 2 weeks and had to undergo 2 operations to remove abscesses in his throat. During the 2nd operation he had issues with his lungs which resulted in him having to be incubated for 48 hours and hooked up to a ventilator to breathe for him. During this time we were able to stay in a hotel/apartment that is attached to the Critical Care Unit, free of charge, which is run and funded by The Sick Children's Trust. They are funded purely by donations and receive no money from any government bodies. Being able to stay with Theo during this time was a great help and relief and we were only there for 2 weeks. We met families that have been told to expect to be there for 6-9 months along with families who unfortunately had children that passed away while we were there. We are wanting to raise this money to be able to help these great charities to continue providing their fantastic support to the people and families that need it the most. I am asking you to please, dig deep into your pockets, donate as much as possible and also share these stories, to help us achieve our aim. £10,000 is an ambitious target but I believe with our network of friends, family and colleagues that this is a target that we can reach and exceed.

We are asking for people to sponsor us as a team, no amount is too small, we are truly grateful for every penny we receive to donate to these charities who supported Tyrone and Theo during their time of need.

Messages of encouragement with your donation's to cheer us on would be much appreciated.
