We have seen several traumatic events recently, that have devastated communities. There has been an outpouring of compassion and support from many different corners during this time, with many people volunteering and stepping into fill the unfilled void where need exists.

We are UK Peace Calling, a CIC created to respond to the direct emotional traumatic needs of survivors, in the place that they need support and at the time that they need it!

We have a long term mission to create a sustainably viable and co-ordinated approach to bringing volunteers where they are needed, but ensuring that they are well trained and qualified to support those in need.

We also recognise that those supporting others also need to be supported - and this is our aim.

Through this on-line training, we will build a network of well trained emotional therapy practitioners & trauma specialists, who are endorsed Nationally, and available Regionally at the time they are most needed.

Our volunteers will be well trained to set ethical and well-fare standards, that are specific to immediate first line responders working in severe trauma events. These standards will be applied across all modalities of therapies, but ensure a Nationally consistent approach is applied, wherever there is a need in any region of the UK.

We will also collate a list of all trained volunteers available in set Regional locations, who can chose to be visible to their community once trained.

Initially this funding will help to set up the first plans and provide the initial online training for those emotional and trauma therapists responding to current communities still suffering from recent traumatic events: i.e. Manchester & Grenfell Tower, London.
